Getting paid

How do I get paid through Rivvet? +

When your homeowner approves a milestone, payment is processed securely through Rivvet. If you're eligible, you can also take your approved earnings straight away rather than waiting for the homeowner's scheduled payment date.

What does it mean to get paid early? +

Rivvet pays you up to 80% of a stage your homeowner has already approved, before their payment date — money you've earned, in your account sooner. It's designed to help improve cash flow so you can keep projects moving and take on more work. Subject to eligibility and approval.

What happens when my homeowner pays? +

Their payment clears what Rivvet has already paid you, plus the fee, and the balance is settled to you — there's nothing separate to arrange. If your homeowner doesn't pay, you're responsible for paying it back to Rivvet.

Am I taking on debt? +

You're paid early for work you've already finished and your homeowner has approved — not borrowing against work you haven't done. It is money you're responsible for, though: it's cleared out of your homeowner's payment when it arrives, and if they don't pay, you pay it back to Rivvet. Rivvet Pay is offered with appropriately regulated financial partners.

How much can I get paid up front? +

Eligible trades can access up to 80% of approved earnings, depending on their available limit and account status.

What does it cost to get paid early? +

A simple, transparent one-off Rivvet fee of 3% applies each time. You'll always see the exact cost before confirming your request — there are no hidden fees.

Why was my request declined? +

Eligibility depends on several factors, including your account history, approved milestones, available limit and other risk assessments. Not every request can be approved.

Jobs and milestones

Can I create payment milestones? +

Yes. You decide how to structure your project into milestones, allowing homeowners to approve work as it's completed rather than waiting until the end of the project.

What happens if my customer disputes a milestone? +

The homeowner can leave feedback explaining their concerns. Both parties can communicate through Rivvet and provide supporting information to help resolve the issue.

Security

Is my money secure? +

Yes. Rivvet uses trusted payment providers and industry-standard security to protect your payments and information.
